This looks promising even for a Marvel Comic to big screen adaptation. I like who they cast in the lead role!

Oh yes, this reminds me--I need to have a new battery put in my watch, the one I have in it right now spazzed out on me last week. As far as I am aware, right now it is 6:17 on Friday, December 7.

Thanks Darktemper for reminding me!!

I am not one for comic books or their screen adaptations but I saw this trailer the other day and was very impressed it looks like it could even be better than the X-Man movies.

NEVER! X-Men won't be topped! The only thing that could ever give X-Men a run would be an "Avengers" movie.

This movie has been in the can for almost a year and been screened many times to make cuts before it's released. A buddy of mine sent me about 3 months ago a 15 minute clip of the middle of the movie. Looks kinda cool but not a movie that I would spend $8.00 on. Certainly a Netflix movie for me.
RDJ does a good job in the 8 minutes that I watched but there is only so much you can do with a Comic book movie.
AVP R is online as well and the 5 minute sneak peak looks like this should be the last one.

Has The Dude checked out Ironman? Yikes!

(At first, I thought DT was referring to that "song"!)

I used to watch it as a kid also but the movie looks stupid! You know todays Speed
Racer is just known as Pokeman. Think about it. The main guy with his girl pal and the faithful sidekick with Piccachuh instead of the monkey. Same big eyed animation and lip syncing that does not match. Then the enemies "Team Rocket". The more things change the more they stay the same.

Huh.....must have been a pretty big hit. ;o)

Shyguy, I am completely surprised Warner Brothers *hasn't* made a cinematic version of an Animaniacs movie by now. (I say a "cinematic version" because I do know of a 90-minute Animaniacs Thanksgiving "special" which aired on The WB in the mid-90s. In fact I think I still may have the VHS tape I recorded of it.)

Although nowdays, if they were to make an Animaniacs film, I bet it would probably be that weird deal where the characters are all computer generated, interacting with human actors which seems to be the latest Hollywood production fad. (As far as I am concerned, that's really no way to make a decent cartoon movie!)

"Bastardisation of an art", I think. Is nothing sacred any more?

From my memory, the old Irn Man comics were about the same, bad guy confronts Iron Man, Iron Man kicks butt, until he runs out of electric power, then he gets beat down, then he finds some way to recharge his power packs and kicks butt again.

You would have thought he would have come up with an extra battery to carry around.
