anyone carrying Imus in PDX?
I know, most of you hate him, but I enjoy him immensely.
He did have some funny stuff this morning and still pulls in the Big time guests!
McCain, Dodd, Carville and more today.
He said "Cheney is a war criminal, Hillary is Satan" so no changes in his style baby.

Dodger...kinda looked a bit on the net this morning and can't find any affiliate listing other than his NY station and RFD TV...don't know if he has gone with syndication yet. The affiiliate listing I did get looked like it was an old one with KTLK 1080 listed as carring him!

You can pull him down off of Directv on RFD channel 379

The set appeared very nice and loaded with logos this morning. The live audience looked as you'd think they would for a country-dominated network. I noticed they were blanking out words like A-hole (Literally, "A-Hole") even on the cable feed.

Hi Tom. Love your show on KPAM.

Just wanted you to know that there are plenty of us who are listening! But it's tough to get motivated enough to get out of bed in the wee hours and call in. Keep up your terrific work. If they get that night time signal boosted as planned, you guys are going to be unstoppable.

Will Sirius or XM pick Imus up?

The president of XM said last week that they have no interest in Imus, or in any other "big names" in radio. He said they had enough high ticket names now, and had no plans to expand the list.

So either the proposed merger (consolidation?) means there will be fewer big deals for big name over-the-air talent, or, in pre-merger collusion XM is letting Imus know he better take the Sirius offer (assuming there is one) because there will be no counter offer or bidding war from XM.

I think they learned their lesson with Stern. He's delivering about a million and a half listeners a week for multi multi millions of dollars in contract. A stack of 1950s 45's and a $100 a shift jock may only deliver half that audience, but you can put up a few dozen channels each delivering a half million listeners for the cost of Stern.

This from yesterday's All Access:

----------Raw Meter Numbers Show WABC Jump For Imus Debut-----------
The raw Portable People Meter figures for the debut of DON IMUS on CITADEL Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK showed an 87% increase over the average number of meters tracking exposure to WABC's morning show over the previous 10 MONDAYS. Broken down into 15-minute increments, the increase in meter counts for Adults 6+ was by as much as 251% for the 6-6:14a ET segment to 33% for the 9:45-9:59a segment.

The raw counts have not been weighted nor were they qualified for in-tab status.

A little birdie tells me that the I-Man may be heard in Janurary at a radio station in a smaller market.
Just a rumor mind you.
