Ive noticed that the Buzz is starting to play A LOT more of the 90's alternative rock on the station. I've been hearing Nirvana, OASIS, Blind Melon. Infact it seems that everytime I turn on the station, its some 90's alternative song. Is the Buzz going in a new direction with the music?? Could they turn into a 90's alternative rock station?? It sounds like that is the direction they are heading. Personally, I think its a good idea, because I have always felt that the music on the Buzz is CRAP! Its been Crap for the longest time, Im glad they are starting to play some bands that are actually listenable.

Now Trixter...take your meds and play fair. It's personal taste not a personal attack.

Breath in....breath out....breath in...breath out.

You'd probably throw up if you knew some of my musical tastes.

Come to think of it, I think I have heard Bush's "Machinehead" on the station recently. :-)

OASIS??? WTF!
What's the story, morning glory?

Blind Melon? COME ON!
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, too.

I also noticed KUFO is playing a lot more 90s as well. Time to face it that the 90s ended almost 8 years ago, someone that's 25 now was 17 at the end of 1999, someone that was 30 is now 38, so on and so forth (I know, I don't have to rub it in... :-)). A lot of people probably listened to stations like the original 94-7 NRK and/or 970 The Beat (or even listened to those exact stations) and probably want to hear a lot of the same songs they heard "back in the day" - well, at least their day.

I have noticed more 90's music on 105.1 too, but it seems like it is mostly on the weekends. They should play more 90's during the week!

"Could they turn into a 90's alternative rock station??"

I would be shocked. Entercom owns both The Buzz and KNRK. There's no way they would have two alternative stations. I know that NRK is more like KINK now in it's mellow sound, but KNRK could more easily step up the tempo without The Buzz having to change.

Oasis is as much Hot AC, as it is Alternative. 105.1's music hasn't changed all that much.

Hey Trixter I happen to LOVE OASIS!! I realize YOUR cd collection consists of Brittney Fox, DOKEN, WINGER and Cinderella. There is MORE to music than glam rock, ya know!

Considering that 105.1 plays R&B artists like Justin Timberlake, I'd call it Hot AC.

I was under the impression The Buzz had evolved to Adult CHR.

They were evolving in that direction, but they aren't currently playing enough R&B to qualify as Adult CHR.
