Yep Congress is looking pretty bad. Both Dems and GOP's are to blame.

Then there's the President whose hasn't seen the upside to a good poll longer than congress.

"Both Dems and GOP's are to blame."

Nice try at spin, but not so fast. The congress is led by democrats. If they're going to take credit for accomplishments, then they have to take responsibility for such a shabby, lacklustre performance.

"Then there's the President whose hasn't seen the upside to a good poll longer than congress."

Nice try again at spinning. But democrats have a real problem. Mr. Bush's approval rating is more than double their leftist-led congress.

Thanks for the update, Herb. SO what you're saying is that we need another attack to be successful on American soil in order for Bush to get good approval ratings again.

Got it.

Naw.

The guy's a lame duck and his approval ratings are already far better than the democrat-led congress. Here in the fourth quarter, Mr. Bush might 'take a knee' until the clock runs out.

Gridlock ho.

Herb you have been throwing out the poll rating for so long now that you have nothing else to stand on. It's a pretty weak argument and you know it.

Is that the best you can do? Don't bring that weak stuff.

Well, it may not be my strongest material, but it doesn't take much to overcome the lame stuff thrown out by the left.

Mr. Bush is fine, but besides, I'm a Nixon man, anyway. I can more readily identify with G. Gordon Liddy when he put his hand over a lit candle and said "I would do anything for Nixon." G. Gordon may be a tad softer on commies than me, but he's still my kinda guy.

You always do play the Nixon hand when things are weak. Go to the past so you don't have to deal with the present reality of a President who has been mired in disapproval ratings.

If the Dems had total control in both houses to pass the legislation they have submitted, and be veto proof and still had bad ratings, then I think you have to seriously look at those numbers.

But since the GOP, and yourself, seem to enjoy gridlock, the numbers for Congress will be low for both parties. And that is something you just can't spin...no matter how hard YOU try.

How can you guys continue to "debate" with a guy who says "I'm a Nixon man anyway"?

Last time I looked, Nixon was, um, yeah, DEAD.

Can we deal with live people and issues at least?

So...

Hilary or Judy Ruilanni?

Which of the "ladies" do you think is gonna make it into office? You know, Judy has a really big selling "point", if you know what I mean.

What we don't know is "Diamonds or Pearls".

In a one-on-one fight, I'd put my money on Hilary for sure. Physical or mental.

All I know is, if Congress has low approval ratings, and Bush and his cronies also have low ratings, then my math says more Republicans have low approval than Democrats.

You're right. I liked gridlock when Mr. Clinton was in office, and I'm not so sure it isn't a good thing with the current president..especially with that bad immigration bill a few months back that everyone but the politicos opposed.

I'd think you lefties would like gridlock right now.

Clearly the public does not like GOP generated gridlock, this is why the rating is low for Congress, which includes BOTH Democrats AND Republicans.

The public elected Democrats to move forward with an agenda that the GOP minority and GOP President is currently obstructing. I will be proven correct next year at this time when the GOP loses seats in both Houses, and I'll be here to remind you of it too. The icing on the cake will be if a Democrat is elected president.

Clinton would have been re-elected in a landslide if he could have run for a third term. Bush couldn't get elected to a political office anywhere now.

Sometimes you need to read 'em again just to be reminded of, and/or fully absorb the utter stupidity and lack of facts.
