Drivers are being warned to take extreme caution on the road between Coolgardie and Kambalda after a road train carrying about 700 sheep rolled late last night.

Police say at about 3 kilometres outside of Kambalda the truck flipped and number of sheep were killed while hundreds are still roaming the area.

The truck was believed to be travelling to Victoria.

Kalgoorlie's Sergeant Keith Hyde says the driver was taken to the Kambalda nursing post but has since returned to the scene after being treated for minor injuries.

He says the road is clear but not yet completely safe.

"The biggest worry is vehicles travelling down the road and running into a big mob of sheep, which is going to cause the Kambalda police more headaches with further crashes and possible injuries," he said.

"The appeal right across is just to slow down - ease your speed right back and keep a good lookout for sheep on the road."

You could say they are "On The Lamb" from the butcher.

Herb I like lamb, but mint jelly is just yuckoo. Last April in Corvallis at the Bombs Away Cafe I had quite possibly the best lamb I have ever had in my life. Braised Lamb Shanks or as the sophisticated would say Osso Bucco! As Racheal Ray would say Yummo!
The dish was surprisingly inexpensive too at this place and it was even the free-range, organic, local, and or sustainable kind to boot. Oh wait I said boot wrong thread or do we have a beef/cattle/leather thread already going?

My God this thread just smacks of all those bad Montana jokes we used to hear/spread around in my youth in Spokane ... (hey, everyone would poke fun at us so our focus was Montana!)

That's baaa-a-a-a-a-a-d.

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by.
With bright knives He releaseth my soul.
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places.
He converteth me to lamb cutlets,
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger.
When cometh the day we lowly ones,
Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of karate,
Lo, we shall rise up,
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water."

This one is for Justin Timberfake:

Q: What's the difference between a sheep and a Yugo?

A: It's marginally less embarrassing being seen getting out of the back of a sheep.
