What would you do if a pig fell from a truck you were following on the highway?

Not a frozen pig or pig head, which happened in both Germany and the USA around Halloween 2006, but a living, squealing hog.

According to the Associated Press, Christine Gamache had that happen as she was tooling down Interstate 205 near Vancouver, Wash. A pig fell right out of the back of a tractor-trailer.

The pig “hit the ground spinning,” said the AP report. Then it rolled across the highway and onto the median.

Gamache swerved to avoid the animal and another truck, stopped her car and went to the 500-pound critter, according to the AP. Except for a sore left rear leg, the animal seemed to be OK.

Gamache waited with the pig until help arrived.

Not real bright, she should have called 911, but she should never have gone up to the pig. Pigs can be real mean sometimes.

If that story had ended any different, I'd want pork chops for dinner.

That Pig must have been a Glutton for punishment.
Did she call 911 to squeal on the truck?

Occaisionally glancing up through the rain,
Wondering which of the buggers to blame,
And watching for pigs on the wing

She definitely squealed on her brakes.

And the happy ending makes a silk purse out a sow's ear!

With apologies to Hank Williams, Jr:

We'll have a pig in the ground
And the beer on ice
All Trix's rowdy friends
Are coming over for SuperBowl...

This is for all my fellow "porkers" here.

Take some pork chops (preferably thick cut) or if you want some of those huge Boneless Costco Pork Loins (You'll want to butterfly those bad boys!) In a fry pan with a just a bit of olive oil lightly brown seasoned to your liking pork chops or butterflied phattie loins.

Then preheat your oven to about 375. Take a pyrex baking dish and place lightly browned pork in pan. Prepare a box of Pork stovetop dressing. Add this to your pyrex dish. Then take one can of low sodium or if you like salt the regular Campbell's Cream of mushroom soup and top off the pyrex dish. Bake in the oven till done.

Pork not just the other white meat but its whats for dinner tonight!

Enjoy all its one of my favorite comfort/stick to your rib meals. Perfect for the nasty weather today and not too late to prepare in a pinch.

That swine must have heard the joke wrong. It's when "pigs fly" not "pigs roll."

Roll on down the highway!

That's one pig that won't be made into a pig skin football, it has road rash.

Did it hog both lanes?

Ok so I am hungary tonight. How about a Bourbon glazed pork chop with an apple bourbon compote?. Maker's Mark, Wild Turkey, Eagle Rare, Bookers. ANyone else?

And just in time for the holidays for all you non drinkers and koshers. How about Jones Soda's seasonal soda flavor this year Kosher Ham Jones soda? They are very creative over at Jones, but why not a Candy Cane soda, or a Pecan Pie Soda? Hey maybe even a Black Friday soda flavor but I am unsure what that flavor would be all about.

After investigation, the culprit responsible for this swine crime was apprehended. Tom Butterball had only one comment:

Yeah Jones Soda has promised that there Ham flavored soda will be a Kosher product.

Darktemper pass the pork rinds and you can keep your pickled pigs feet. I'll try anything once and most often I will even return for more but pickeld pigs feet were truly a bizare and disgusting eating experience for me.
