KOUG is Vancouver's first College station based in the city. The stations studios are located at Washington State Univ., 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. KOUG began in August 2007 broadcasting over the internet but wants to get on the air on 580AM most likely carrier current. The station plays mostly Alternative music. KUGR are the calls of one of the WSU stations in Pullman. In the old days (my days) it was a carrier current station with the radiating wires strung through the steam tunnels connecting the dorms which had their own distribution wiring. I helped the engineers restring the distribution network in the tunnels (cough, wheeze). |
