Here it is, the thread you've all been waiting for.

Well wishing posts only! No ham fists.

Vitalogy,

Keep up the good fight. There's passion in every one of your posts. Thanks for being part of this group.

I'll second. We are better because you are here.

Love how you so often just whittle down something to it's essence and just put it out there, nice and simple.

You are also not afraid to step up, get after it and really press a point home. This is a really good thing because others can grow from it. They may not want to, but hey --that's their deal!

Nice username too!

You mentioned trying to have kids on another thread. Keep at it. We all know the trying is great, so no worries there. Eventually you will get there, look at that child in wonder and never be the same.

---they do grow up to be teens though. Look out and plan your numbers accordingly. When they are small, it's pretty great to have a few of the little rugrats around.

After about age 12, it kind of goes downhill for a while. I've got one about to turn 20. 14 to present was about as ugly as it gets. Finally, we are having conversations again.

Then she moved to the mid-west...

I think that's enough distance to allow the family to appreciate family time again! Some more time will pass, we will come full circle and laugh about it.

Seriously, it's a fun journey. I know I've learned more from my kids than I dare tell them. I also thought I was not ready. (and I just wasn't) I don't think anybody is.

The secret is that it just does not matter! Once that journey starts, everything changes!

Get that serious hobby time in right now though! Kids and hobbies / free time do not scale together --unless they are the hobby!

You remind me of RIP --a lot.

Vitalogy has added some energy to our little community. I welcome him and wish him and his wife success in getting pregnant (and the enjoyment theretofore in the process) and look forward to more of his insights and opinions.
