Sooner or later somebody will move their AM to FM.
Might as well be KEX on 105.9. 100.3 would be better for signal purposes.

Couple of things: WTOP moving to 103.5 here in DC was the best thing to come out of the 'Washington Post Radio' debacle. BUT... DC is the worst AM major market in the country. As noted before, one big 50k (1500 am) is hampered by a hideous pattern, and low-dial 5k's (WMAL 630, WTNE 570) have even worse patterns. Portland is blessed with three AM flamthrowers (KEX, KXL, KPOJ) -- even though management has decided to make two of them sound no better than XM's traffic channels.
Also, check what's happening at CBS under Dan Mason. Several FM talkers are going back to music (Chicago is the latest). Impatient upper management has killed more formats that we can remember. Even the 'format of the future' is not immune.
