According to one scientist, it will depend on which species group you end up in.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/technology/technology.html?in_art icle_id=489653&in_page_id=1965

"The human race will one day split into two separate species, an attractive, intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted, ugly goblin-like creatures, according to a top scientist.

100,000 years into the future, sexual selection could mean that two distinct breeds of human will have developed."

This kind of thing reminds me of the movie "Idiocracy" (a hilarious movie by the way). And, I don't think it's all that far fetched, as all you have to do is watch an episode of the Jerry Springer show to see that the underclass is well on it's way to de-evoluting itself.

That's all fine and good if you even believe in evolution. How can you de-evolve when you never evolved in the first place. Where is the proverbial missing link that prove's evolution actually happened? The most likely thing that will happen is that a new sub-species will rise as the result of toxic waste in the environment, gene splicing experiment's gone wrong, or defective cloning attempt's.

Obviously this "scientist" in question doesn't work for the company I do. Judging by the appearance of some of my co-workers--I won't mention who they are specifically, they know dang-tootin' well who they are--it looks like Corporate America has him beat by some 100,000 years............

"an underclass of dim-witted"

Does "W" fit into this category?

No he's in the upper class of dimwits, if only financially and educationally (if that's even a non-GWB word)!

I think his basic point is that smart, successful, good looking people tend to have children, and that dumb, fat, and ugly people tend to have children. After all, our mates are a good reflection of ourselves for the most part. Over many years of this repeating itself over and over again would result in the differences.

Has anyone here seen the movie "Idiocracy"?? If not, it's worth renting, and the same principle that this scientist is talking about is what Idiocracy is based off of.

It is ridiculous to not believe in evolution. You can witness it! For instance, bacteria and viruses evolve to render useless the drugs that used to fight them.

I think both creationism and evolution walk hand and hand. I don't think there is a definitive with either. One can help explain the other or sometimes it's just good to have something mysterious that is unexplainable from either side.

As I have said a few times on this message board, when this subject comes up, I don't dwell that much on the subject. I think there are far more important things to discuss, this just gets everyone riled up on both sides so what’s the point.
