It looks like all spanish language stations except El Rey and possibly KWIP are on the verge of collapse! KWIP reappeared with a 0.7, which is what 1520 dropped to. No one else showed up! There's no showing for 940, 1010, 1040, 1150 or 1230 and some of those stations used to do pretty well in the not so distant past! KUPL had a strong win and K-Hits had the same number that KISN-FM had just after it became Charlie. I don't really see anyone in bad enough shape to change format except Movin' but they went up slightly so they might give it another book. It's interesting that KFXX went up just before their new line up takes place. This is all total audience info so it's hard to say what any of it means for sure. |

That's a great story for KHITS, will KQOL have a big impact? KKCW's 7.2 to 4.7! Ouch! I was surprised at NRK's 2.7 to 3.8, not bad and equal to Z-100s 3.4 to 3.8 which was also pretty good. KXL-AM dropping 4.4 to 2.9 yikes! I bet the sample was bad this book for Hispanics, all of the Spanish stations look off, I doubt they just stopped listening to any radio. |

Egor you hit the nail on the head. LOUSY sampling for Spanish radio and from what I hear, Arbitron could care less. Wish there were more than one company that did the ratings then we could get an idea more or less what the market is really doing. |

0.7, 1.0, 0.7, 1.0, 0.7! I've heard ACs are traditionally low in the summer but to have a bad book and still come in #3 is pretty good! I'd say that spanish sampling was low but only reflected by El Rey. I expect their lead to increase greatly next time. I'm thinking around a 4 share. |

Every time I see Charlie's numbers, I can't help wondering what could have been if only they'd left Kisn alone. The last six months of Kisn was without a doubt a template for the future of oldies radio, but they killed it before they had the results in hand - and for what? To protect themselves against a Jack competitor? |

The anti-format type stations will always be a flash in the pan. It's a novelty; if you're everything to everyone, you're not anything to anyone. Charlie could probably adopt a 90's format, and succeed with its talented morning show. |

Kool is by far the worst station on the dial. The variety of music is POOR and they play the same STALE songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!! |

I wouldn't say that the Hispanic sampling was bad (of course I haven't seen the intab) but it just make sense that a superior Spanish FM station has taking listeners from the AM Spanish stations. It's that simple. But like I said, have not seen the intab. |

El Rey only went up a tenth of a point. Their previous rating was from only part of a book. I expected them to be much higher and I think they probably will be next time. Clearly, the rest of the local spanish stations have nowhere to go with Regional Mexican. 1520 may end up as Spanish News/Talk or Spanish Sports. I don't see any option for the rest other than to continue on with few listeners. |

But they are tied for #1 with Z100 in the 18-34 demo, and their AQH jumped 45% from the last book. I believe this is their first solid book under them, but we shall see. |

Is there a chance that Bustos might just try to unload all of its Portland stations and say goodbye to this market for good? I don't think that "Magia 1150" or "ESPN Deportes" ever showed up in the ratings, and "La Bonita" only pops up sporadically. |

The little AM Hispanic stations may have not done well, but it's clear that there are now many Hispanics here in the market. I wonder what their impact on Portland radio will be. |

We must all know each other from the berry/hay fields...and Roger, I agree why don't we let our kids have a taste of what we did for our new clothes....As for Humbleharv let's not crucify him for a poor attempt at humor. Now if he does it again then we will lynch him. |
