Yet more evidence the left will do anything, and say anything to advance their partisan agenda, even if it means stabbing our troops in the back.

Herb, what was the quoted left's "partisan agenda" when they were supporting the president and the war back in 2002-03?

Does it differ from their partisan agenda today? If so, how?

The only people stabbing the troops in the back are the ones that continue to gleefully send them to their deaths for a war that was and still is unnecessary.

And here is some more BS from a Democrat. This guy does not speak for me and I distance myself from it.

Someone needs to smack that guy in the head. He may have a point, but it was poorly worded and grandstanding like that is not something that is effective to me. Much less accurate.

What he should have said is this: "Republicans are sending troops to Iraq to save face for the president and themsevles."

What he should say is.

We have US troops, risking their lives protecting trade routes essential to the US economy.

If you want us to bring the troops home, cut tour driving back by 50%, get rid of all automobiles older than 5 years. turn your thermestats down to 60 in winter and up to 80 in summer.

anyone not willing to do this, shut up!

Trade routes? What is your obsession with trade routes?

Chickenjuggler, the vitriol you noted makes Bill O'Reilly's point when he says many democrats are extremists:

WASHINGTON (Oct. 18) - A House Democrat accused Republicans Thursday of sending troops to Iraq to "get their heads blown off for the president's amusement."

This democrat is a disgrace. But watch leftists on this board try to lamely defend him. That's just as bad.

I wouldn't say that the president is amused by the deaths, but I sincerely think he doesn't really care. His legacy is more important to him than their lives are.

Well I would say thay he doesn't care enough about the lives of others to take reality into consideration when he needed to. And for that I am still kind of holding a grudge.

Herbster, I was a Democrat who supported the war in Iraq when I was lied to about WMD, which I knew he had in 2002 when most other Democrats wanted him taken out. But Bush knew that the WMDs had either been destroyed or removed because weapons inspectors would have found them.

Now that we are in a war that cannot be won, I say remove the troops in an orderly fashion. Let the Iraqis fight a civil war if they want too, that is what we did to finally unite this country (more or less). No troops should continue to be wasted for a lost cause.

As a Vietnam vet I am not against war or even letting troops die for this country to protect what we hold dear. But I cannot let them die just so Bush does not have to say he made a mistake.

Herb...
When YOUR EXTREME side wants to continue to churn out soldiers and send them to their deaths then the MAJORITY of America will down out your ranting.
I will NOT defend this Dem one bit because even though DUHbya isn't as smart as most kids in my daughter's 6th grade class I'm sure his a some compassion. It's just that he will do anything to defend HIS agenda even if it means more YOUNG men and women have died than on 9/11.

As matter fact, all those quotes in the video were before Clinton launched Operation Desert Fox in December of 1998. You remember, that when all the Republicans were screaming "Wag the Dog." Well it has been shown that this attack knocked any capability they has and demoralized them ot to try again. You can read all about it in Thomas Ricks book Fiasco somewhere between pages 20-30.

Wag the Dog....
Monica-gate
and the CONSTENT hounding of Slick Willy for 7 1/2 years by the EXTREME RIGHT and Larry "Tap Dancer" Craig was just about enough to piss any SANE American off and temporarily brainwash them. Luckily Americans can think for themselves and are witnessing first hand what EXTREMEISM does to the Government. When ONE man rules with an iron fist and WON'T listen to anyone....
