From All Access: In other deals filed with the FCC: GOSPEL ECHO, INC. is selling FM translator K219KX/REDMOND, OR to THE ASSOCIATION FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATION, INC. for $1 consideration. _________________________________________________________________ K219KX signed on the air as K249AT 97.7 in 1981 and was original put on the air by Gospel Echo, Inc. an FM translator corporation, founded by Frank Furnish in Seaside OR in 1972. At the time K249AT was rebroadcasting KPDQ-FM but in the last few years this was changed to KBNO White Salmon, WA. The new owners of K219KX, The Association For Community Education, Inc. own KMRO 90.3 Camarillo CA & KGZO 90.9 Shafter CA. Their address is 2310 East Ponderosa Drive Ste. 28, Camarillo CA 93010.

KBNO is supposed to be reminiscent of "ĦQue Bueno!" This Spanish exclamation would roughly translate to "That's awesome!"

Jr. Tech: I don't know. I do know KPDQ-FM has lost its presence in Central Oregon. In the 1980's KPDQ-FM fed 4 translators, K244AL Bend, K285DC Maupin, K280BD Prineville & K249AT Redmond. These were all owned by Gospel Echo.
