Imagine if christians and muslims didn't exist. Would be have a better chance for peace? Would we get along better? I think so.

Common ground, particularly on theological matters, is always good.

In all fairness many of the worlds religions have done and are doing great things to help humankind, sadly the extremists get all the headlines .

Getting rid of religion only gets rid of one side of the issue, what we need is better religion. Although your sentiments do have a strong truthfulness.

I don't see these leaders calling for the end to suicide bombers, and ending the call for Israel's destruction.

You know, I'm not sure better is the right word...

Rational is where I'm at. There is no shame or harm in realizing and accepting what is faith and what is fact, and what is just not known.

When faith and conviction become mixed with truth and pride, we end up with people being invested personally in what others may or may not believe and why.

At the end of the day, we believe what we will. We should be free to discuss that, grow from it, etc...
