As I looked at the article, and read Outsiders comments, I thought about a situation like that existing back when we had KCYX. Fact of the matter was, the Linfield College station didn't get those folks, KCYX did. |

Another boy from that town worked at Kisn doing news (cut his teet in his hometown on air)....then to Katu producing stories...and went on to producing the ABC eve news. Mike Gammon who went by Michael ray on radio. |

We had the same situation at my campus station KWRS in Spokane. Those students who really applied themselves would get part time gigs in town. |
