Stevenson warehouse with 7,200 tons, 14,400,000 pounds of wood pellets burned to the ground. @ $200 per ton retail that is a 1.4 million dollar loss in produt alone. This strikes me as sort of suspicious that for the third year in a row there has been a fire at a pellet plant which will create a run on them and then drive the prises through the roof. Last winter pellets were my primary heat source and they were very hard to find at times. I have since converted to a propane fireplace and seems that it was a good move. Get your wood pellets now before they varnish again or the price goes up to ten dollars a bag! Bear Mountain officials could no be reached....Hmmmmmm....

Reminds me of a certain 4th of July stunt as a kid, when we ground up approx. 50 boxes of sparklers in the middle of our cul-de-sac, and lit it off with the last sparkler.

The fireball was a good 4-5 feet in diameter, lasted about a minute, and left a gooey, melted asphalt crater. We felt the heat from quite a distance away. And in more ways then you might imagine.

It was only half as powerful, and lasted only 1/100th as long, however, as the heat generated by my dad when the neighbors started calling.

Independence Day, not for me. The French Navy didn't come to my rescue. . .

Metal Sparklers book right in there with lawn darts. Who didn't take the stupid things and see high high they could throw them straight up?

Nah...both the sparky and darts. Both ain't none to smart. The darts were especially stupid, like putting your hands over your head was gonna help. Never sunk one into anyone though!
