Excellent!

Always better to marginalize the bully. Good on them for playing the game on their terms.

Those kids are off to a good start in life.

I often thought after Columbine that a great deal of work should be done to make taunting of other students socially unacceptable. Make the students doing the taunting the outcasts and the ones who are shunned by other students.

School administrations are woefully inadequate in solving these issues, but then, don't get me started on what I think of school administrations.

People love to complain about school administrators, but you know what...they have their hands full, and they are not paid to be a parent to every kid at school, even though that seems to be the expectations of many parents these days. And remember, every parent thinks their kid is a saint, and schools are always under the threat of lawsuits from parents who can't raise their kids right and want to push blame for their or their child's shortcomings onto someone else. I challenge anyone who thinks school administrators don't earn their money to walk a day in their shoes.

Bullies are always going to be around, and their not always physical bullies, their the ones that get a low level management position and lord it over their employees. Sarcasm usually doesnt work with them, because their too dumb to get it.

If you can't learn to deal with bullies, your going to have a miserable life.

You need to think creatively when it comes to bullies if you have no other recourse.

Most bullies are very insecure people thus they bully for power. Back when I was a sophmore in HS, I had a bully in choir. He sat behind me and for now reason just started kicking me with his pointed toe boot. I asked him to stop many times as did my friends. When this didn't stop his actions I finally went to my counselor. She summed him and I to her office. I had a chance to ask this guy why he was kicking me? His answer: "I don't know why." Lots of issues for this guy but we won't go there.

He did stop and we actually were able to be around each other though we would never go out of our way to be with each other. But we could co-exist.

I just don't understand these parents and teachers and kids that cry out the "victim" card. "Oh woe is me, someone's picking on me!" At some point, we need to teach our kids to stand up for themselves.

I was bullied quite a bit in school ... everyone picks on the fat kid. It festered inside of me up until my senior year in high school when one kid went too far ... he pushed me one too many times, I hit him twice and shattered his jaw. For some reason nobody picked on me after that, and HE was the one who got in trouble for instigating the whole thing.

I go into my youngest son's school now and then to check on him (he's diabetic) and there are these "bully-free zone" posters all over the place, with an emphasis on respecting your classmates and the like. I asked him if there were a lot of bullies in his school and he told me yes, that they try to push him around occasionally but he stands up for himself. I gave him kudos for that .. he has never swung at another kid or got into an altercation but he has his way of holding his ground. Instead of quashing what is naturally going to take place, I think we need to emphasize in our own children a strong self-will and that THEY MAKE THEIR OWN PATH.
