You know, say whatever you want about me, but horses are too skittish for my taste either. Jumpy, restless, sneezy, dopey and Doc.

They just ain't my bag.

They say when you get thrown off a horse, you are supposed to get back on.

Last time I was on a horse, I was 15. I got thrown off and broke my tailbone.

It'll be a cold day in hell before I ever get back on a horse! (And as Andrew and DT can attest, I'm a very large individual, I'd break the poor thing's back!)

You should always approach a horse you don't know, with caution. Some are biters, and others kick. Not to mention, what they might do when you get on one.

Its like a dog you don't know, i know a lot of people bitten by a dog, that the owner says, "Oh he won't bite".

GOOOAAAAALLLL!!! For Deane. Got a good chuckle on that one.

Amus- Dont' worry too much. Deane had some pretty good one liners on me when he used to sign my paychecks.

What the hell kind of "Ranch", let alone one in TEXAS, has no horses and only 5 cows? At least it has an ass.

Trixter-
Deane and I may differ on the political end of things, but the man gets my total respect for his knowledge of radio.

In my humble opinion he ran one of the most respected small market stations in Oregon. I really didn't appreciate back then as much as I do now.

Also I know his son has been in the hospital lately as Deane has shared. So my prayers have been going out to his family too since I knew his son back in the day.

Deane, Herb, Nwokie and others, are not the enemy here and I'm beginning to realize just how much the name calling is really bothering me.

We can get so childish (and I am guilty too) that this message really can hit low points for me. That's when I back off and take a break.

Just trying to be straight shooter here trix.

Chris, thanks for your kind words. Son Steven is home from the hospital. Turned out the pain in his side was a gall bladder, which has been removed. Simple operation, but still a pain in the rear to deal with. Luckily, we have an exceptional medical institution here, the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

What we're facing down the road is an intestinal transplant, a rather serious procedure with only a 75% survival rate.

On your forum comments: We had the name calling fairly well under control for awhile, then new posters came on and sort of started it all over again. It quickly destroys any serious discussion and contributes nothing.

Chris...
I take no offense to anything you say. Your one of the one's on here that is always straight and to the point. Your statements always have meaning and are very thought out. As for mine sometimes I do resort to the lowest common denominator and shouldn't. Others have their way of lower themselves and they do it in a backdoor fashion. But you know how those anal probes are....???? Well, anyway.....

Thanks Trixter. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the moment and let emotions speak and not use the brain.

I agree.

Deane, all my best to you and yours. You're in my thoughts. We may spar, but I have the highest respect for your dedication as a father.

By the way, I like horses.

I've always been behind DJ when it comes to his son. If one of my daughters was ever sick I would move heaven and earth to make them well.
Setting aside the differences in some Political views I'm behind everyone on this board 100%.
4 years and 8,000+ posts I feel as though some of you guys on here are like family.

...feels like family.

Yep. I have to agree. Hey, let's fire up some warm fuzzy stuff! Been a while, Littlesongs well deserved recent ego grooming aside.

It's probably a jinx. Look at where we all ended up after the last time! I don't care though. Sometimes it's worth expressing.

I value everyone here. Some of you just annoy the crap outta me, but I will stand with Trixter in that nobody here deserves less than 100 percent of my support.

I'm feeling get together time. Got a note from Dark, the other day. Not sure if I replied or not --was just hammered, but I'm up for another shot at that.

Another thing too. Life for me has sucked pretty huge this last year or so. It's been nice to come here and just tune that out, or talk about it some.

Thanks all for that. Happy to return the favor anytime.

...and TRIXTER IS AN ELDER HERE. Who would have thunk it?
