We've discussed the creeps known as the Fundamentalist Church of J.C.L.D.S. before (or at least the site has, might have been during the 3 years I was a read-only lurker); don't think the original post/thread is still on this site. The following article is probably not meal-safe, unless you have an extremely tough stomach:

If I haven't said it already, the thought that this has been allowed to occur - and within the U.S. - is just absolutely sickening.

A cult. Admit it Christians, many "every day" religions are just as wacko as those "cults" described by many Christians as not "real" Churches.

I think we have talked about these guys. Spooky.

An article was linked a while back that described entire towns where this sort of thing was the norm.

Right out of a Stephen King novel, I swear!

Trying to figure out the phrase "everyday day religions."

I'm a Christian everyday. Is that what you mean?

That's definitely different from "Christian sunday, judgmental every other day." Those folks are the Fundamentalist Christianists.

Maybe that's the ones in the newspaper every day who are always politically anti-this, anti-that, but don't reflect well on the person/entity they are supposedly for.

What these morons do should not be confused with religion. It's a fabricated cult with a bunch of weak minded people following an insane idiot. It could not exist without the idiots following him. Unfortunately, the young are dragged into it and suffer greatly.

I'm sure you remember the lunacy of Jonestown.

Quote of the day, and all religions contain these elements in one way or another.
