why would any p-d allow this spot on their station when it causes people to change the station as soon as it airs?????
..................on the other hand you have to give credit to the marketing strategy, anyone that responds to such a spot is an easy mark

I've heard spots for the dealership, but what is the specific campaign you're referring to?

An annoying spot can be just as effective as a spot with well written copy. At least people pay attention to it.

It sucks jay lee's wont get your business though. :-(

P.S. Cecil keeps it real-er than most.

If you truly voice Celil, you do a fine job filling the role. The whole idea is stupid though.

I'm a witness! I know that Cecil is at least, loosely based on Dylan.

Most engineers have a little Cecil in them though. They were all lonely nerds at some point in their lives.

Its all about moving beyond Cecil. And out of your moms basement...

Cecil sounds like someone that is really trying to help, and instead of the sarcasm, the owner/manager should point out to him, whats wrong with his ideas, and how he can be of value to the organization.

I just sat through a company managers meeting, where we were told we should be giving more constructive help to our employees, and less negative critiques.

Loosely? I thought it was entirely based on me.

Maybe Cecil is based on someone else we know...

Especially engineers that want to be on the air. We're a strange bunch.

I couldnt agree more.

And if those engineers weren't around to fix on air equipment and make my life easier on a daily basis... My job would BLOW!
