Holy CRAP the T man show is AWFUL!! His voice is so annoying and so Fake it is unlistenable. The playhouse has NOTHING to worry about! Mark my words, this show will be gone by next year.

I could only take about 2 mins of T man and off my radio went. Not only is the show bad, but the music they are playing are songs that have NEVER been played on Z100. They may be big songs in seattle but they are unknown in portland. Unfamiliar songs=TUNE OUT!

>>Not only is the show bad, but the music they are playing are songs that have NEVER been played on Z100.<< That's because KUBE's a Rhythmic CHR, while Z100 is mainstream. Maybe it's the beginning of a shift in direction for Z100...

After one book, T-Man should be gone. This move makes about as much sense as putting Bob & Tom on The River!

Clear Channel will NEVER LEARN from their mistakes! You would think that they would, Considering they have made MANY in the past 6 years. I have to agree with beano, what the hell is up with T mans voice???? Its like he is trying to sound like a top 40 jock, yet it comes off really corny. Get a LIVE AND LOCAL morning show CHEAP CHANNEL!

Clear channel has cut all of the meat off the bone. How much further can they go with cost cutting? This is absolutely pathetic. They might as well just can the rest of the day parts with voice tracked jocks from the east coast. That station has no local appeal, no local relevance, no loyalty. People will tune in for the latest music, but thats about it. The jocks mean nothing and play no role on the station. The day Michael Hayes walked in the door was the day Z100 died! RIP Z100.

The faker said>>> The day Michael Hayes walked in the door was the day Z100 died! Step away from the meth! More like the day he walked in the the door was the day it died. He and the suits started the process of what Z has become.

Timberfake is right. Personally, I think the coffin started being built when they started the "portland's Hit Music CHANNEL" positioner several years ago. A "station" is, by definition, central to something (radio stations broadcast in every direction from the tower). A "channel" is a narrow pathway. Music "channels" can be anything on the internet, sattelite, cable... you name it. A station is unique because it BROADCASTS. This subtle but important change spelled the end of meaningful music radio at C.C. as far as I'm concerned.

The end of Z100 came before Michael Hayes. Even in his blunders, Hayes couldn't accomplish something as big as the destruction of Z100. He just added to the once great station's misery. The end began when Ken Benson left. Tommy Austin was the PD when the station fell from the 10 shares into the threes. True, this was when Jammin' signed on, but this was also when the old Zoo was dismantled and the rest of the airstaff was decimated. Michael Hayes proved that you don't have to stop shooting something just because it's already dead. The hiring of Hayes was like being saved from a mugging by a rapist. I'm honestly surprised the building hasn't burned to the ground yet since it seems they've run out of other ways to damage this legendary station. It's a tragedy because Portland is so ripe for a great CHR. I hope time proves me wrong, but I think this latest move with T-Man is embarrassing. It's embarrassing, but not surprising.

Tommy Austin may not have been fit to be the PD for that station, but from a listeners standpoint the station still sounded really SOLID! All dayparts sounded REALLY good! The talent sounded great, lots of high energy and fun. It was Hayes that blew out all the good talent and replaced them with small market inexperienced talent- (Alex Q, Billey Breeze.) Nothing personal against these guys BUT they lacked the energy and talent Z100 once had. No Offense but Billey Breeze would have never worked at that station if it was up to Ken Benson or Tommy Austin. He just didn't fit the sound of the station! So here it is 6 years later and we have a legendary Top 40 station COMPLETELY destroyed! The talent do absolutely NOTHING for that station. The energy is gone from that station. It was Dr. Doug, Stacey Lynn, Ck and The BadBoybroadcast that kept that station alive. They had high energy, passion, and you could tell THEY WANTED TO WIN! Great Talent that made the station Fun to listen to. The jocks today just don't have the right sound, are lacking the energy and play a very small role to a station that has lost it touch on portland. Not only was the Buckhead show an embarrassment to Portland, but The T man show is an even bigger embarrassment to Portland. Z-1blunder could not get any worse.

Tommy Austin is not to blame for the death of Z100!! If Im not mistaken he was a first time Pd and was doing quite well with the station, But Suddenly Jammin Came on to the scene and he started to panick. Im guessing they brought on Ck and The badboy Broadcast to sound more black/urban at night to compete with Jammin. No matter who was PD, when Jammin Came on the Scence, Z100's ratings would have droped regardless. Michael Hayes was the ass clown who fired all the staff and changed the music.

However, based on what happened in March 2002 (so much web traffic that the site went over-bandwidth halfway through the month), I'm guessing that if Z100 flipped formats tomorrow, that each and everyone here - and then some - would start posting what would become a 1,000-post thread about how terrible it is the station is gone.
