Here's the "Y" I left out of the title of the thread. I guess they won't be hiring me, huh?!?!

Maybe, it's the talk station in Seattle that has the proven track record.

I think you nailed it. Outsider's point remains that it is poorly worded, sorta' like the old joke, "My dad once shot an elephant in his pajamas." (Reply)"What was the elephant doing in your dad's pajamas."

Actually, it sounds like what their looking for, is sopmeone with a medium amount of experience, desperate enough to take an entry level position.

But a "medium amount of experience" is not likely to give someone "a proven track record for booking market exclusive A-list guests, producing compelling radio content and managing top rated talk shows through excellent leadership, creative and professional skills". The ad should read like this:

"Are you aware of the current radio job climate? Do you know that you qualify for a respectable position with a respectable wage, but have come to the point where you're willing to take anything at all? Then we have the job for you! Come be underappreciated in a corporate environment where talent is cherished, but not rewarded. Use your skill at booking A-list guests while you eat Top Ramen. Make sure to make friends with the morning guy so he'll let you crash on his couch! Send your materials today!"

No, there are still some good radio jobs out there. (I happen to feel that I have one of them).

And frankly, there are some who would prefer to work part-time, despite their experience level. Everything isn't always black and white.

And everything isn't always serious either. I was just joking around.

The more common nickname is "CheapChannel". However, my experience with the company (2001-2005) was not that.
