non-Local morning talk shows were better than palying music or talk shows with local talent?

Just curious why they felt that a show that is not local, no local news cept the occasional traffic snaffu, and people talking and beating things to death that the local people could really care less about, was a better choice than either a local show or playing music.

I myself hardly ever listen to any of these out-of-area morning blowhards......I wanna hear music on the stereo or i'll just turn on my Zune. I mean really....what a waste of FM Stereo....they could just as well put the talk shows on AM Radio and just play music on FM and that'd be just peachy! Now....if the people on the station or stations I like were local and entertaining then i'd be more likely to tune in to them. Oh yah...forgot to mention that most of the talk show talent on the stations I like are not very entertaining and don't hold my interest.

Because the owners/managers have decided they get a larger net return on their investment that way.

Because it's less of a bother to buy a turn-key morning show, the corporate types have trouble bothering with all those pesky details of a full blown morning show. Besides, then you have to HIRE PEOPLE, and they hate that!

Imagine how many meetings it takes to micro-manage a morning show these days!

this is the very reason I listen to the Playhouse. It is local but syn'd out

i like the playhouse but i think t-man is better.
