Ted Nugent, although relevant for his work with Amboy Dukes and his early solo career, is an increasinly pathetic has been needing to become more and more outragous to get attention.

Brandishing a weapon and suggesting that Obama "suck on it" may not be a direct death threat, it is certainly threatening behaviour.
How many of those cheering imbeciles in that audience might be unbalanced enough to take up the charge?

Contrast that with the comparativly benign comment by Natalie Maines that she was embarassed that Bush was from Texas, and what do you get?

Record burnings, Banning airplay on radio stations, and (suprise suprise) death threats from conservatives that some would say lack the mental capacity to think beyond the primal urge to kill what they don't like.

I'm not a big County Music fan (although I am a "Dirt Head")
But I did go out buy a couple of Dixie Chicks CD's just to support the idea of free speech.

I see it as hate speech, personally. And, since Obama and Clinton are under Secret Service protection, I think a visit from the Secret Service to Mr. Nugent would be in order. After all, according to Herb's rules, this sort of conduct in public probably means he is plotting to assassinate someone and it should be investigated. I'd like to see what a full search of his premises turns up.
