Has anybody heard them yet? How do they sound? What's their playlist like? Is it like NRK or more mainstream? Imaging? Jocks?

They have a 4.4 12+ in their first book... not too shabby.

Thoughts?

Gotta agree except for the jerk comment. This forum is an important source of info for ALL of Oregon and Washington too for that matter. If you limited it to just interest in PDX then it wouldn't be nearly as interactive. The thread heading was very specific. If of no interest to you, then skip it. Look at Boss Radio thread. over 400 posts, yet not concerning PDX. Just a thread that struck home with many. If you've ever visited any of the other radio sites, the sections devoted to the PACIFIC NORTHWEST are not very useful, or interesting.

As for BEND, it is of definite interest. Many people have gone through there, many more have applied, and they frequently run help wanted ads, Two on air current that I know of. With more than a few radio people looking for their next gig, this certainly is a PRIME forum for info on jobs, input on stations and other discussions whether it be Klamath Falls, Burns, Bellingham, Spokane, PDX or anything in between. Cut some slack.

I'll be over there at the end of August, I'll try and catch some of it. But, with that playlist example, my listening may be limited. That looks like NRK East to me. I'm more of a Clear 101.7 fan when I'm over there.

I worked in Bend radio for about a year. It's a great place to live and work. Lot's of good statons. 104.1, 94.1, 92.7, etc. The talent in Bend is better than people would think.

94.1 no longer has any real talent on the air, which could explain why they've slipped to #2.
