The name of the DJ in question is Eduardo Sotelo. Or El Piolin whose nickname means "Tweety Bird" in Spanish. Sotelo radio show is based out of the Los Angeles.

El Rey will probably end up #1 or #2 A18-34 and with Piolin, they may be top 5 w/ A25-54. This is a genius move by El Rey...now the question is advertisers see the value, revenue seems to follow ratings a lot slower in the Spanish world.

Is the Spanish speaking population large enough in this area for any Spanish language broadcaster to end up #1 or #2?

No. I'm not sure what Yodaddy was talking about.

I'm guessing #1 or #2 Spanish-language morning show in the market.

It'll be intersting to see what a full book does. Someone mentioned that it didn't matter what band a station was on; it was the programming. Anyone care to take back that statement?

I think the spanish speaking audience will get tired of 5 hours of non-music programming after a while. Specially if the morning show has no local content.

Yes, El Rey can be #1 overall. When you have 10% of the market and only one FM station to serve them, it wouldn't be hard. In the last month of the book they were #1 persons 18-34. Now with a solid morning show they could easily be #1 for the summer book.
