How does the Clark Co.Amp... compare to Waterfront Park? My wife won tix to the Charlie Class Reunion(lawn seats)and I've never been. When I've been to the KGON concerts if you didn't get there early you were wasting your time.
How's seating?(view to stage)
Parking?
General atmosphere?
Hopefully you all understand my questions and THANKS for the help.

Calrk County Amp is da bomb! Had grass seat to last years Def Leppard/Journey concert and was very pleased. You will be able to see better from grass seat with the aid of binocular's but as with that show there are big screens on the outside wall and can see clearly on them. You should have a great time. A word of advice is to buy the premium parking on ticketmaster for that event as it will only take at most 15 minutes to exit afterwards otherwise for the free parking you could be there an hour like I was last year and I hear other people said that about RUSH this year as well. I had VIP parking and got out very quickly!

Take a blanket and some of those cushy stadium chairs....the ones without any metal framework and your good to go! Some shows even allow cameras but check ahead of time for that.

2 of my daughters worked for the company that supervises the parking lot at the Ampheatheatre, and it took until about 12:15 to finally get all of the cars gone from the rush concert.

Usually, their done by about 11:40.

Well, there had to be near 20,000 people there for Rush, it was packed even all the way up the hill ... really only one way in one way out, unless you get the pass. No wonder it took two hours to clear it out!

lets see, I can park my BIKE mere feet from the waterfront park enterance, so unless Led Zepellin is gonna play at the CC Amp, I will not be doing the parking lot slo dance anytime soon.

If you want to avoid the traffic, take c-tran,
Or as I saw several people do, take a lounge chair, and just set out beside your car, until traffic clears out.

...take c-tran...

Great idea - I almost posted that before the Rush concert, until DT mentioned his premium parking pass - figured that wouldn't do much good since everyone probably already had their plans.

BTW, if you don't know where Salmon Creek Park-n-Ride is, it's on NE 134th St., just South of the I-5/I-205 Split.

While we mention it, their regular weekday Portland Express routes are well worth the $3 fare. Oh, and thanks again to everyone who voted yes on Sept. 20, 2005!

Clark County Amphitheater is probably the best venue in the Portland metro area to see a show.

Thanks everyone.I look forward to the show and now my only decision is drive or bus.I always park at Gateway and take Max to the Rose Garden so it's a natural to use public transportation.I guess it will depend on my wife's mood that day or for that matter mine :-)
