The poor are poor because they're not as good as the middle and upper classes. They don'y deserve anything. They should be happy enough to be living in the USA. If they don't like being poor they should figure out how to make more money or starve.

For any given work, there is a value where said work is worth doing. That's our minimum wage.

Keeping it low, simply means extorting a percentage of us, or promoting illegals, because generally speaking, the work still needs to get done.

Might as well pay the minimum wage, that makes the work worth while.

What kills me is the number of states that have raised the wage, for these reasons. Those states still have fast food, still have farms, etc...

The only thing that changes is that perhaps the person working might not need two or three jobs.
