This is a national conference for Ubuntu, which has gotten a lot of attention lately. It's cool that it's here in Portland! I'm probably just going to go to the free parts because I can't justify spending hundreds of bucks to attend the seminars and such. It's at the Oregon Convention Center, though, and you should go to the free demos and stuff if you want to see what Ubuntu is all about.

Anybody going to the Open Source Con starting on Tuesday? I'd meet one or two of you for a beer at lunch time?

I'm not tuned in - when and where is the Con? It's not something I would probably pay much to attend, however.

I might be around. I normally do volunteer duty, but didn't have time this year. If you get in early registration OSCON is about $300 or so, isn't it? I work near there, so a beer might be good.
Didn't know about the Ubuntu one. Very cool! That's gone from something I found interesting to a tool I use nearly every day.
