DD - YOU go ahead and blindly follow around the Bush administration like a good little lamb in its flock, baaa-ing at every single word. Those of us who have the capacity of self-thought will do otherwise, Republican or not.

I'm thinking it wasn't Cheney that was removed from Bush's, ahem, colon, because Bush is in Cheney's, see? Perhaps it was DD that was removed. Since there were 5 altogether, I wonder who the other 4 are?

I'm a SELF-thinking Republican that can make up my own mind and NOT follow the RNC website.
Following blindly is what got Germany into trouble in the 30's.

Bush has a colonoscopy. It has nothing to do with politics. Yet you want to make tasteless jokes about it.

Do you have any standards of decency Brian, Trixter and Skeptical? I would say no.

Digital, it's all about double standards with the left.

So Trixter, what makes you a Republican? Please be specific.

Herb, are you talking the type of double standards like conservative Republican and christian right wing activist Senator Vitter where he was recently outed as having cheated on his wife with a hooker and lying about it all the while telling others at the same time (and I quote) "Abstinence education is a public health strategy focused on risk avoidance that aims to help young people avoid exposure to harm...by teaching teenagers that saving sex until marriage and remaining faithful afterwords is the best choice for health and happiness"?

Nah, you couldn't be, because there's no double standards on the right, eh?

The beauty of it, parties that is, comes down to one being a Republican because they are registered, and or say they are!

And this is the trouble too.

A bunch of asses can just come in and redefine a party.

Kind of sucks, if you ask me. Suck ass (P)resident, more or less can taint a whole party and there is NOTHING the solid members can really do about it.

If they don't support the clown, they are'nt real Republicans. (You know, like real Pro Lifers struggling with the petri dish condrum!)

If they do, then they get the seal of approval from the asses, but then have to deal with all the growing anger from the non-20-percenters.

If they try to step aside, they are weak.

It goes on and on and on.

Hey, it's non-30-percenters now. But we'll hear about the congress being lower. Because, yeah, that's the point you were trying to make. I know these things. Just ask me.

Thirty!!

Good grief, we are slipping. I thought it was 25-27 or something like that. I like to round it DOWN, being an optimist in these things. Don't know why --the evidence is clearly in.

How can nearly a third of us be so profoundly off base?

Agreed. But the constant " You don't take the time to nail your own party when they do something wrong " is getting old. Every time someone does ( Me, Missing, Chris, Skeptical, etc. ) it get's dismissed as an exception to the rule.

I can point to more threads from Democrats AGAINST Democratic screw-ups, bad policies, and the like, than I can Republicans starting threads AGAINST Republican screw-ups, bad policies and the like.

That's a Quadruple standard to me.

I've waited a LONG time before I could cash that chip in. Everyone had PLENTY of time to prove me wrong. You didn't. You don't believe in the errors shown to you DAY after DAY - that's why you didn't. The few and far between " Hey, I don't carry water for the ( insert subject that makes your party look bad ) " doesn't work. It's too little too late.

I'm rubber, you're glue.

No, rather, you just avoid answering the question, which is the same thing as changing the subject, which ironically is something similar to the so-called double standards you accuse the left of.

You can't make this stuff up!

Herb, you excuse double standards on the right by insinuating that double standards only exist on the left.

"Digital, it's all about double standards with the left."

Yet, when I point out a CLEAR double standard on the right, we get no response from you.

Rather than telling someone else their toilet needs cleaning, you should check to see if yours is clean first.

You excuse double standards by ignoring them when they occur in your own back yard. Yet, at the same time pointing them out on the other side. That's the height of hypocrisy in action.

Slippery as always.

IMHO, there is no privilege associated with double standards. Exercising them is wrong. Not wrong like murder is, but still just wrong.

dd: "Do you have any standards of decency Brian, Trixter and Skeptical? I would say no."

I'm trying hard. I didn't disclose the abestos problem in the insulation and the Lousiana-Pacific siding on the last house I sold and made a bundle. Even then I still don't fell I measure up to Bush's WMD lie and Cheney's killing of 60,000 Klamath River salmon.

I am aiming higher though. There is a lot that really ought to be a Superfund site that I'm selling to a potential KinderCare franchisee.

Wish me luck.
