I didn't read the whole article, but I didn't see much there about how slot machines in recent years have become glorified video games for adults. Start with the colors, the animation, and the action that kids love, then throw in the added thrill of wagering and WAMMO, you got a winner! (Well, a winner for the casinos, anyway!) Someone in this industry got it right! |

I actually read the whole article, thanks KSKD. I learned that the machines with best odds are the ones at the ends of rows near main traffic areas, but away from card tables -- the worst are the ones deep in the middle of rows away from higher traffic areas and nearer the card tables. |

I've never played a slot in my life, but just the mention of slot machines makes me think of getting off any plane at Las Vegas airport, and hearing the ching-ching-ching-ching-ching-ching-ching-ching-ching-ching-ching-ching as soon as you're in the building. |
