And so, everythng in the plant worked as it should, Japan as the only country in the world that has nuclear bombs dropped on it, ( a decision I agree with), is very safety concious of nuclear power.

Last Wednesday night a 3.3 quake hit the Portland area, 2 miles N.E. of Canby.

Mean while a second nuclear leak has been found after the Japan quake.

"...everythng in the plant worked as it should, Japan...is very safety concious of nuclear power."

Bullshit.

Is this just too obvious to respond to? I'm surprised no one has jumped on this...

TEPCO, Japan 's largest power company, said the quake was stronger than planned for at the seven-reactor plant in the northern prefecture of Niigata. But none of the problems posed serious threats to people or the environment, it said. Still, the plant suffered a fire, broken pipes, water leaks and spills of radioactive waste.

After Katsumata's plant tour, TEPCO announced that a leak of radioactive water into the Sea of Japan was actually 50 percent bigger than initially announced Monday night. But the levels were still well below danger levels, it said.

The size of radioactive leak was 90,000 becquerels, not 60,000, TEPCO said.

Remember, we had a small quake here earlier in the month, then Japan, now this morning they had one down in the Bay Area.

What's going on? (And don't say anything about Al Gore or the 3 Stooges will chime in)

Warn Chicken Little! The big one is coming, the big one is coming! :-)
Maybe its HAARP-related... (I think that's how it's spelled).

Japan, wow, what a place to build 40 nuclear power plants -- many of them older ones, older than our won relic Trojan.

Warner, with all due respect, there are hundreds of 3.0+ quakes that happen around the world EVERYDAY! They are completely random and can happen in clusters, or take long rests. (Unless I am completely missing your sarcasm, which is entirely possible...)

So far, Al Gore's global warming theory can't be connected to earthquakes, but I would not count anything out! :-)
