Who was the better lead singer for Van halen? Diamond Dave OR the Red Rocker.
I thought Van Hagar was a much better singer vocally, while Sammy droped the whole party songs and image, he had a much better set of pipes.

If you look at Sammy Hagar TODAY Vs Diamond Dave TODAY, Sammy has a lot more going for him. He is still releasing solo albums, he has his own Cabo Wabo Tequila selling well. Diamond Dave has what going for him??? A Failed morning show that TANKED RIGHT AWAY, what else??? I could see Diamond Dave on a reality Tv show like the Surreal Life. Have you seen pics of Diamond Dave lately??? YIKES!

As far as who is the better singer, I think Sammy is the better singer, hands down, his voice is richer and he's got a much better range.
