I am am on my first real, long vacation in a long time. Sitting in my camping chair, having a cool one, listinging to Chicago Oldies, and having a cool one while watching tghe grand kids. Also surfing the net with my Verizion internet anywhere card. Times have changed since Danial Boone!

When I go on vacation the first order of bizness is to see how many times my "Blackberry" can skip across the water before it sinks! I think I can get a solid 5 out of it!

I might just say Ta Hell With It and have it make one splash though!

I'm looking forward to going off line the last half of July. I have a big road trip planned form PDX to Michigan for a once-in-a-lifetime car meet. Camping my way across country, cruising in my '58 Edsel (no AC - everyone thinks I'm insane) and logging 5000 miles of adventure. I don't spend that much time on line, but even the time I do spend is too much when I think about all the other things I could and should be doing with my life.

For a project we are doing for work, we just got Sprint Air Cards. Yesterday while I was up in Tacoma, the guy that works for me loaded his card up on his PC and drove from the radio tower site we were working at all the way home, about 6-7 miles, while streaming Sirius over the internet.

He said it never missed a beat!

Yep. As Nwokie said "Times have changed since Danial Boone!"

Hey Nowike

I'm currently in Copenhagen Denmark on some vacation time. (9 hours in front of you) My first visit to the homeland my family originates from. Weather has been very much like Portland's around the Rose Festival.

Was at a park this evening for a traditional Danish event. It's part of the celebration of the solstice. They burn a witch (not a real one) that represents evil in a bonfire on a small barge in the lake in the park. Lots of traditional Danish songs are sung while the witch is burning. The witch is burned and sent back to Germany. Those crazy Danes.

They enjoy their brew over here that's for sure.

I nominate Timberfake and his YUGO for "PIMP MY RIDE"! We should all write in and see if they will pimp it out to the max for him!

I can knock em' down for sure. Pull out the polaroid.

Get's dark around 11pm...then light again at 2:30am. We're heading north Sunday so it will probably be light 24/7. Welcome to the land of mid-night sun.

Wonderful people here.

Will finish my book on the plane from Copenhagen to Seattle tomorrow.

Man it has been wet and windy in Denmark. Drove the length of the country today in driving wind and rain. Felt like home.

I'm really reading, or I should say rereading them, I read the series a few years ago, and found it fascinating.

At least nwokie didn't waste money on the new books by ann coulter and tom delay.

and with the defective batteries in some of those laptops, you probably CAN cook a marshmellow.
