Is the next step a 2008 independent presidential run, self-financed?

An interesting development here, no doubt.

It will be an interesting excercise...at best. I think his name is a liability right now. But then again, I really don't know TONS about him. I could be way off. But it's got some truthiness to it.

Bloomberg is hugely popular in liberal NYC. He's done a lot of progressive things. You're right, outside of New York most people know little about him.

Lets not forget this former Democrat has billions. He can finance his own war-for-no-good-reason if he gets an itching to be a war president.

Seems to be a question about whether the rule requiring a President to be US born applies to VPs.......Arnold has already said that if Bloomberg runs, he Will endorse him......So the Gov of the most populus state endorsing the Mayor of NYC....and possibly ending up on the ticket.......Just the Cal and Ny votes the two would attract are enough to radically alter the political landscape....

Arnold has learned his lesson. If he ever makes prez, he'll be a far better president than our current idiot.

What if he became speaker of the house, then #1 and #2 were "mysteriously" eliminated?

And, would a person who thinks a foreign born naturalized citizen can become President be some sort of an idiot? Just wondering.

"What if (Schwarzenegger) became speaker of the house, then #1 and #2 were 'mysteriously' eliminated?"

Then they'd continue down The List and select the first individual who qualifies.

Could you say that first, Bloomberg was a Democrat, then he was a Republican, now he's a nothing?

I don't know if now he's a "nothing," but I do know he's an A-hole.

x2 what Magic said.

Bloomberg is enough to make me say that I'm ashamed he's in the same party as I am.

deane sez: "And, would a person who thinks a foreign born naturalized citizen can become President be some sort of an idiot? Just wondering."

My mind has always been liberally open enough to the possibility of the consitution being changed. And especially after the adminstration of one George W Bush, we've learned that laws don't apply equally to everybody and ways of circumventing them are in an endless supply. Perhaps its those who think Arnie can NEVER be president are the true idiots, eh?

Arnie will be worm chow long before he's president.
