There's so much kvetching on this board that I rarely join in any more. I thought that maybe it might be a good idea to make some use of the owner's server and get some useful stuff on here.

Broadcast resources. What are the sites you use to find employment, monitor the industry nationwide, etc. I'm sure at this point, we all know about www.allaccess.com, but what are some other ones that you monitor?

I know college kids read this, it might be a good resource.

Good idea cop.

Maybe to dovetail on this thread is some good resources for show prep both subscription and non subscription.

One of the the daily bits we use comes from www.idealbite.com. We signed up for a daily email and it gives suggestions and tips of all kinds that are more earth friendly.

state association websites for jobs, (obviously didn't work for me) AA and Radio and Records for news. Best way for employment, make friends, network, and know somebody who does the hiring!

While you're watching the job ads, also keep up on industry news. Format change? New manager who could hire you? Swoop in on those changes before ads get posted. Track down people, ask them questions about their needs and figure out how you solve what they perceive as problems. Don't just be an applicant, be the solution to a problem.

Make connections and do favors for people, too. Your next job possibility is as strong as your personal network is.
