Ok….here’s mine.

A place at the Oregon coast away from major population, one with a great loft which has a view of the waves, a nice little fireplace, comfortable couch, a stack of good books and magazines, a pile of warm fleece blankets, NO TV or Radio except for the one that turns itself on for emergency alerts only, some chilled Oregon wine and Tillamook cheese fondo , a never ending supply of Pink Floyd playing in the background, and most of all my great wife to share it with me. Ahhhhh…..the better, simpler, no stress life! Someday! It always help’s to set goals ya know! 12 Years then I plan on doing just that!

What’s your anti-stress….slow the pace down future hideaway?

"slow the pace down"

Geez, if my "pace" ever get slowed down, I'd be bored to death. I figure I'd be doing pretty much what I'm doing now -- and that's whatever I want.

The Coast sounds nice to me, BUT PLEASE NO NAGGING, BITCHY wife. My X Wife was the biggest pain in the butt, she made my life a living hell!
Id rather have Mans best friend by my side " A Dog". They don't talk back, they are always happy to see you, they don't get all emotional, and they have more personality than most women I know. My X wife was the queen of verbal diarrhea, she would always be yacking, non stop, life is sooo much better without her.

Hey Buns, it sounds like you're still pretty bitter. I can totally relate,in my situation THe Yugo is a much better mate than a girlfriend/wife. I'm glad I was smart enough to ditch the girlfriend and keep the Yugo!

Somewhere near the tip of Baja close enough to Cabo but isolated enough that it feels like true paradise. But only as a fall/winter home. Maybe a condo in Vegas for those times when your feeling a bit crazy. But indeed also a place here in the Willamete Valley maybe a piece of property that includes some vineyards.

Awe.... But alas I realize that this stuff only happens to some. So.... I guess I should start playing Powerball and Megabucks!

Mobile.

We are seriously considering selling all the major assets off, after the kids have left the nest. Do this while earning power remains high and sock plenty away, not having to maintain anything we don't have to.

Then, at some point, just travel, enjoy, experience and earn what we feel like earning.

ShyGuy.....You could shack up in the Hotel California in Todos Santos.....pretty close to Cabo San Lucas! But you know what they say "You can check in but you can never leave!"

For those of you who do not know, Todos Santos is the favored urban legend of where The Hotel California for the song is located.

I lived on an Island for over 3 years, St Croix.
After about the first year, you start to miss being able to drive more than 24 miles.

I think on the aforementioned link I could handle never driving again! I'd love to be Gilligan stuck on that island with Ginger and Marianne. Ah...the eternal question....Ginger or Marianne. I'll do some extensive research and get back to you, maybe!

On St Croix they drive on the left side of the road, but all of the cars are american standard, IE the steering wheel is on the left side.

Passing is always an adventure.

I was teaching my 16 year old daughter to drive, I had an "Island Car" a 64 fairlane, we were driving on the coast road (their nearly all coast roads), and getting to a place that had a drop to the left of about 200 feet to the sea, so I told her to turn at the next exit, a park, but we were right at another exit, so she turned tghe wheel hard, going about 35, she hit an old muzzle loading cannon they had stuck in the ground as a dividing marker (they have those all over the island). Didnt hurt the cannon or the car, scared me almost to death
