Freaking hilarious! Why the Dems let him have anything, as an Independant, is beyond me. Thank god he's not one. (WTNH) _ The Connecticut for Lieberman Party is calling on Senator Joseph Lieberman to resign from the U.S. Senate following his remarks made Sunday on CBS' Face the Nation regarding military action against Iran. Lieberman said on the national television program that, "we've got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians." The Connecticut for Lieberman Chair, Dr. John Orman, called for Lieberman's resignation saying that he "crossed the line" and "no longer represents the views of the citizens of Connecticut." Orman, a longtime critic of Lieberman, took control of the minority party back in January.

Because without him, the Republicans will control the senate. But he's right, we need to hit Iran hard.

Lieberman should resign as an independent, and become a Republican.

Mr. Lieberman would balance the Republican ticket nicely, with his solid war on terror credentials. Herb

Republicans voting for a Jew? Yeah, and which golf course would let him rent a cart, shoot a round and talk to his constituents? Republicans like Jewish delicatessens, one old Jewish book, and Jew jokes. They do not like Jewish comedians, movie producers, and actors. They like Bob Dylan because he is not named Zimmerman, and they do not hear the words. They like to visit Israel and walk in the footprints of Jesus, but they do not like to think about answering to a Jewish boss, after all, their God is American. Never ever gonna happen.

Yeah, and his party gets a ballot spot for sure, and it's membership is only open to his critics and anyone with the name Leiberman, because he failed to do his administrative work, allowing a political science major, who is also his critic to become his party chair! Come on, you gotta laugh at that! It's funny as hell and we are gonna see some zingers from that whole thing this coming cycle. So, if he chooses to run under his party, most all of them don't support him! Freaking great. If he chooses to change parties, then his party has a guarenteed ballot slot, can choose his opponent and does not have to deal with a primary to do it! It gets better! His party gets to to say they are the preferred candidate representing the "Connectiut For Lieberman" party! Fricking sweet! It's highly likely his likeness may be invoked as the party founder as well! (that will be just golden if true, but just his name will be bad enough) (yeah I mangled the spelling --sue me.) Yeah, he will balance that ticket nicely. I think he will fit right in with the current GOP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connecticut_for_Lieberman http://www.newhavenindependent.org/archives/2007/01/cfl_goes.php http://ctbob.blogspot.com/2007/06/lieberman-asked-to-resign-from-his-own.html "Under Connecticut law, since the Lieberman for Connecticut Party polled more than 1% of the vote (it actually got over 49% of the vote), it is entitled to nominate a candidate for US Senator in 2010, by convention, with no petition needed. That's all it is entitled to do. Connecticut, uniquely, sets the vote test for party qualification on an office-by-office basis, so if a party polls 1% for Governor (and nothing else), it is on the ballot automatically in the next gubernatorial election, but only for that one office. But a party that polls 20% for Governor is on for all partisan office."

With intelligent Democrats being such a rare commodity, I should think they would want to keep him.

"With intelligent Democrats being such a rare commodity, I should think they would want to keep him." Even if he was the ONLY intelligent democrat, he's a buffoon and should be tossed overboard. Now if President Dumbth had tossed the intelligent buffoons in HIS adminstration overboard a long time ago, our country would be so much better off today, don't you think?
