I'm not a news professional, but I'd like to suggest that the words "holy" and "Shiite" should probably not be used back to back in a newscast! Not to point fingers, at 5:30 tonight I heard this phrase uttered by a male anchor of a TV newscast on a channel between 2 and 8.

I heard Kelly Day say "speeshies" (speCies) about 5 times in a row tonight. D'oh!

Bubble-headed bleach-blond must have a hard time talking through that botox perma-smile that's plastered on her pie-hole.

My favorite is "it's about 80 degrees". OK, is it 80 or not??? And while on the topic of weather, when did local news feel the need to do a preview of the forecast in the first 5 minutes, a regular forecast somewhere in the middle, and then a re-cap toward the end? All in a half-hour, and all with weather that is totally average and expected. Why do these people think that I really care???

That's funny!

At least the FCC has been told by the courts to lighten up!

That's worse than "The greatest hits" said just a bit too fast.

Redford, secretly you do care. You hope for something more than average --something different and every day they tease you into thinking today is that day.

It's a racket, just like the lotto.

Missing, I am certain not "missing" your point...

Yes, it's a racket. Because once they train your mind to "respect" them as the weather "brand", then you will certainly return to them when the weather is NOT average and expected. I get it!
Still doesn't reduce the complete inaneness of it all.

Ahhh...I miss the berry fight's from them days! I think I turned in about six flats a day, threw 2 flats worth, and packed another on home in the empty water jug! Mom always made sure to send the biggest one we had!
