Broward County is a cesspool of liberalism and has lost touch with reality much like other liberal cesspools like San Fransisco and Portland.

Actually, you're wrong Skep. Nebraskans are very unhappy with Bush and with Senator Hagel, feeling both are far too liberal.

I still dont see how Coach Osborne lost the race for Gov of Nebraska. I know why Steve Largent lost his race for Oklahoma Gov.

Bush = Liberal? Heh, that's just a silly meme. It's aimed at somehow linking Bush and all the badness that comes with him to anybody but the GOP, who rubber stamped said badness, and is still working hard to continue it, despite having lost quite a few members over it.

Missing, I'm serious. Bush is in trouble with most Republicans for his lack of conservatism. Nwokie, I was a little surprised the Osborne didn't do all that well, but I think there were a several things. He ran on a platform of honesty and integrity and there was no feeling the existing governor was anything other than honest, so who needed a change. Then, there is his age which sort of concerned people. On top of that, the existing governor was doing a very good job and continues to do so. One of the best we've had. Osborne just didn't bring anything to the table other than his good name and the fact everyone liked him. That wasn't enough.

Largent lost, because his demo opponent painted him as a "Carpetbagger", about the worst thing you can call someone in the south. And he had a lot of campaign doners from Seattle, that didnt help.

No Way! That's nuts! I'm not sure you guys really have what is and what is not conservative nailed down. This is not surprising actually, for a lot of reasons mentioned here. And that's not a slam, just a statement really. Many of the things I've seen most of the GOP support these days are NOT CONSERVATIVE. At least not the kind of conservative I grew up learning about. Then there is the whole 23 percent bit too. They freaking love this guy no matter what --and they self-identify as conservative. That's really ugly my friend. Seriously ugly. Not them, but the identity problem you all in the GOP have to sort out. So, that's gotta be settled before going any farther. And I'm still not convinced this isn't anything but a meme to escape a rather large popularity problem and shift blame. The GOP does this often, making that a low burden. None of this means he is Liberal though. He's just hosed up, or the GOP is hosed up, or you all are entering a crisis. Not our problem. We know what Liberal / Progressive means. Please keep the identity problems on your side of the aisle. He's your guy, I think it's your deal. Have fun with that!
