This is going to help make the Etch-a-Sketch really popular again, which of course is going to drive up the demand for aluminum (the powder used inside). Like so many processed goods, aluminum is yet another product where Asia (at 30% of world production) outperforms America (at 20% of world production). This is going to do nothing but further increase our dependence on foreign made products (not to mention the foreign labor used to build the Etch-a Sketch). Of course, Republicans will laude this kind of outsourcing as "good for the American economy" - and I hope they do, because the first time they tried to sell this load of crap they were pummeled mercilessly by public opinion. I can see this whole Etch-a-Sketch thing being the beginning of the end of Republicans in the White House in '08. (Hey, you dared me...)
