I just finished watching it. I'm a fairly smart guy. Before I go off, I need some time to make sure I saw what I think I saw.

I need to make sure my cable didn't go out and that what I saw aired, was intended to be seen like I saw it. HBO.com is crashed as are the top 10 or so fan sites. David Chase needs to be sent a fish wrapped in a newspaper. And don't tell me that I need everything wrapped in a neat and tidy bow. I don't. I do not feel the ending was artistic in any way. If the profound statement made for the ending I saw was to show me that The Sopranos, as a family, will always have to look over their shoulder, I ask; Oh yeah? I thought that was kind of obvious. But apparently Chase forgot that EVERY episode had that quality already. And if I have to seriously wonder if my cable went out or my DVR malfunctioned, well, I'd say that there was ZERO satisfaction is being reminded that Mafia types have it different than the rest of us. No shit... ...unless this is just a lead-in to a movie version of the show. It should FEEL over. It shouldn't make me wonder. Whatever. How's that for a reaction David Chase? Whatever. Neat.

As my Mom always tells my Dad after he falls asleep before the end of the (every) movie: "You won't believe this!!! They ended up on a submarine, trapped under the polar ice cap!"

Never seen one second of one episode of The Sopranos. I assume Tony is the mob boss and the star of the show. So tell me already, what happens to the guy? Andrew

"So tell me already, what happens to the guy?" He looks up from a table. That's what happens. There. Though I'm making it sound better than it actually was.

I'm so disappointed. 55 minutes of foreplay and then...nothing! So I guess I feel screwed, in the other kind of way. (The polar ice cap thingy would have been better.)

!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!! Skep, Only Leotardo is shown getting whacked (and it was pretty gruesome); we were left wondering about Tony, Carmella, and the kids...we'll never know. They left us hanging at (literally) the last moment. Cut.

...And Naomi was kidnapped by the SLA and forced onto the sub. (Randy, that's so funny! I said that to someone the other day and they had no idea what I was referring to, and I had to explain it, which of course, then makes it NOT funny.)

Toni got whacked. The show is always from his viewpoint, so going to black represents his death with a bullet in the head.

Yeah, before season 1, Tony was 1/3rd of a famous R&B group that had a minor hit with "Feels Good."

I doubt if Tony got whacked, that would blow the chance for big bucks for a reunion movie.

I think the symbolism of the guy going into the bathroom (Godfather-style, presumably to get the gun) was a red herring, because he wouldn't have needed to. The hopeful message of the lovely Journey song implies that things might turn out okay. WTF was implied by Meadow's poor parking skills was lost on me. I can only assume they wanted to stimulate exactly this type of conversation around the water cooler today. The Leotardo hit was just awesome though... except for the SUV being in Drive. Neutral would have been more believable.

HBO's golden era is now officially over. What kind of quality original content does HBO still have? I cancelled my subscription after the network abruptly cancelled Deadwood. No more Sex in the City No more Six Feet Under No more Deadwood No more Soprano's No more OZ No more Ali G Show What do they have left Big Love, Entourage, and if it even is still on the air and not cancelled yet again The Wire. Then you have the stinkers that tried too hard and failed miserably: Carnivale, Rome, Life with Louie.

Gourd, I loved Deadwood and Six Feet Under. I still love Big Love, Entourage, and especially Curb Your Enthusiasm. That new show after The Soprano's (John From Cinncinati) didn't do anything for me...turned it off after 20 minutes. Did I miss anything?

Dragnet still does it for me. Just the old ones, so don't mess with it. Anyway, the new version can be "Cops".
