I found a link to hear "Treetop Flyer". There is absolutely no question in my mind that I have NEVER heard that song before!

Yeah I first heard the song a few years ago - can't figure out what's wrong with it (although it's not a song that I'd normally listen to). I can tell why people don't like it.
Had a chance to be in the local reception area of FM 94-9 in San Diego a few months after they switched to the same Alternative AC (my personal perception of the presentation) format 94-7 here has now - they ran a sweeper that said something to the tune of 'if you don't like a song, give it 3 minutes and we'll be playing another.'

the reason people here dont like it is it seems to be played 6 times a day on KINK .....Merkin I was being sarcastic about being able to hardly wait for the "tree top flyer weekend"........but would love to see stills sit in with Eric Burdon friday night @the blues fest that would be tasty

You also said in the past that nobody ever plays "tainted love". Again, might need to turn up that hearing aid.

TTF is so bland and forgettable, like the musical wallpaper at Crapko, that one could easily hear it and not remember. (That is the second yellow smiley face I've posted today. I need to stop.)

Apparently, I don't listen to KINK at the times the song airs. I hear "Tainted Love", just not very often. I will probably listen to KINK more after they install HD. I tend to ignore non-HD stations while driving but having the system makes me more likely to sample different musical forms.

I worked at KINK (circa 1981-84) and I never played TTF...still, it was the 2nd song in Stephen Stills'
set Saturday night. It was a blast..As for the crowd, I'm not saying everyone was over 50, but I felt like I was at my 40 year class reunion! There was one problem,stepping over chardonnay bottles on the way out! (just kidding)
