It was interesting to listen to Lars on Monday as
Evergreen Aviation was one of his sponsors and he criticized Portland for dropping out of being part of the FBI's efforts to investigate terrorism in Oregon.

One of the suspected New Jersey terrorists for for a division of Evergreen called Evergreen Eagle.

When a former terrorist was revealed to have work in Vera Katz office, Lars was all over her for hiring a terrorist, but when a terrorist worked for Evergreen, he gave his sponsor no trouble.

Maybe the city should buy air time on his show and he might then leave Potter alone.

I'm not a Lars Supporter.

Maybe he's just not worth much time right now?

I was told by someone who used to work for him that he does a lousy job in verifying his stories, he just goes for it and figures it the other persons' job to defend his false accusations....

Lars might be a little leftish, but other than that, he's a great guy.

Herb, please, I think you are a great guy, but Lars a little leftish? The only time he goes left is when he has his right hand up the ass of his advertisers and needs his left to hold Paul Allen's hand.

Herb I think it might be more accurate to say that Lars is more of a moderate than a conservative.

But Lars on the left is the day that hell finally freezes over.

Well, OK.

He's not that much to the left of me.
And while he and I may disagree on a few things, Lars is a good egg.

Lars is a doer, not only a talker.

Maybe that's what separates him from so many on this board, myself included.

Viva la Lars.

I used to dislike Lars because of his holier-than-thou, full of his own self, pompous attitudes. But I'd listen because we (sorry to say) share the same basic political views... I just couldn't stand the manner in which he expressed them.

Then I got Sirius satellite radio and haven't heard him in months.... and I don't miss that self-congratulatory egomaniac one little bit. No bubbles, no troubles. Bye-bye Lars!

PS: in the future, sir, keep your sleep number to yourself... no one cares.

"Lars is a doer, not only a talker. Maybe that's what separates him from so many on this board."

One of many reasons.

The reason I say that is because the harping on Lars is primarily political, coming from the extreme left.

I've heard talk show hosts on KPOJ that were so over the edge with partisan venom that they make Lars look like Mahatma Gandhi.

And it isn't limited to talk radio, either:

"...a fierce, bullying, often witless tone of intolerance...has overtaken the left-wing sector of the blogosphere..."

That's from liberal Joe Klein.

Herb, you know I am not extreme left, and I hate KPOJ almost as much as KXL and most of KPAM (though I do like Bob Miller).

It is just that Lars and Victoria Taft (who is much worse than him) take too much out of context and exaggerate it. Even Bill O'Reilly can admit mistakes, unlike out local folks.

If there's one local radio person I enjoy as much as Lars, it's Victoria Taft. What is it about her lazer-beam clarity and detailed, fact-based focus that you dislike?

How about the lack of it?

There is no clarity from Taft & Company. They take a point and on purpose misconstrue the intent of the law. If you call in and point out the error you are informed that they are moving on to another subject.

Lars, Kramer and Company are all the same in this way. So if you take the 15 minute segments there is enough time for them to be blowhards and leave little if any time for a proper discourse, but thats what there all about.. "Fair and Balance" I'm fair and I give you the balance of ten seconds to offer a counter point.
