I was wondering if those of you live on the air if you ever had a bad case of hiccups prior to your air shift? Has anybody gone through this along with other excuses to get a day off? Another would be sore throat or complete loss of voice due to Laringitis. In non radio work these wouldn't fly to get a day off Sorry if this sounds like a topic on a morning radio show but Iwas wondering LOL

I imagine a news anchor would get the day off.
But your are right, in a non-media oriented workplace no dice. Don't call me for the day off due to sunburn either, TFB, haul your butt to work and deal with it! I love it when people claim religion as a reason they cannot work Saturday's only to find them in the PUB that evening! What religion was that, The Holy House of Homer! Hey dude, Can you spell "FIRED"?
