Anyone learning Spanish so you can talk to the lawbreakers that neak into this country?
Like it or not, there are borders here, and it's the USA thst's supposed to secure them.
I find unless you're at work with the undocumented ones, you don't need to speak to them. Most of them don't even try to learn English.
Those are the ones to send back to their homeland and make them enter the p legal way!
Even some of them 25 years ago in Los angeles were telling me i had to speak Spanish. I don't have a need to be fluent in Spanish.
Maybe they feel they don't need to speak English. But if you drive, are the road signs bi-lingual?

Spanish, I don't need no stinkin' Spanish. If you are in the USA and wish to stay then damnit learn to speak english. If you own a business which has spanish speaking tourists then by all means learn spanish or hire bi-lingual people. No speak Ruskie either!

Sadly, I agree with you, but it's not gonna happen. I know and live among a fair number of American immigrants. They form communities and leverage each other to build a base from which others can build their lives.
Their kids will speak english, but many of the first generation in will not do this well, are employable, etc...

Sometimes, having a liberal bent, is a clear advantage huh?
It's totally brutal too. We are gonna see a big swing in the numbers, and it's largely the work of the pro corporation GOP that's gonna get it all done.
