All Access reports: Phil Hendrie's website is sporting a banner announcing that Talk Radio Networks - TRN will launch a new "Phil Hendrie Show" on June 25th. The show will air weeknights 10pm-1am Pacific time.

Great news...he is a tremendous, unique talent. Hopefully his saturation will be enough so us fans will be able to hear the show. If you are a fan, my suggestion is to contact your local stations to let 'em know you want the show. (This counts for more than many think!)

Hurray!!!! Can't wait - hope Phil will be back on the airwaves in Portland or at least streaming online somewhere. I'll bet Vernon Dozier and Bobbie Dooley have been chomping at the bit to comment on current events!
FYI, I recently listened to a bunch of old Phil Hendrie bits on a long road trip. Some of them are from right after 9/11. Wow, they are more culturally important than I realized. Phil's shows provide an excellent snapshot of the mood of the country at that time.

Phil will be broadcast 10PM-1AM Pacific Time weeknights. If you look at AM 970's schedule, you can see that it wouldn't be a huge loss to put Hendrie on 10-1 (lose 4th hour of Don & Mike; lose 2 hours of John & Jeff). I have no doubt people at 970 are considering it.
Then again, if you read the brief press releases about the show, it's not clear that Phil will be doing the same kind of show he did before. Phil has done spells of talk radio with no bits - like after 9/11, where he didn't do bits for a couple of weeks. Maybe Phil will be doing fewer bits and just talking more - who knows? (That might suck, though.)
