If you are into INDY music KEXP is a must at 90.3... by night they play more eclectic world type music.

Most everything else is similar but a notch or two better than PDX radio with more live voices on both FM and AM.

Then END is still the END at 107.7, the Mountain 103.7 now has the former KINK MD, The country battle rages on, KUBE 93.3 dominates the pop/young demo, the rock stations are fairly predictable with the exception of Raizin on Funky Monkey 104.9... AC, a snoozefest... but thats just my opinion...

As for AM KIRO 710 (newstalk), KOMO 1000 (news), and KJR 950 (sports) are all live and local and well executed radio.

Please share your observations.

Spirit 105.3 is pretty close to, if not the highest rated Christian AC station in America. This being the case in one of the more liberal cities in the country is a pretty cool thing.

They also have a pretty good Ops Manager! :-)

Seattle radio is SO different than PDX. The on-air people seem to be less affected by the industry, and more into "communicating" with the audience. Sure, a generality, but spend a few days listening and I think you may agree. BTW, this can lead to much more human, creative radio. Perhaps not what the consultants are looking for, but maybe what the audience appreciates and expects.

Every Seattle FM is streaming online, except for "Star 101.5" KPLZ.

Earlier I posted...

I should amend with the following...there are some very good communicators on PDX radio too!
Wasn't meant as a knock to anyone, just a generality. Bob Miller, Bruce Murdock, Tom Parker, Craig Walker, Jeff Clarke and many other PDX talent come to mind as gifted communicators...

Dexter,

Thank you very much. I got it off another site where the aircheck downloads seem to expire after a few days. Should be on Divshare forever. Please let me know if you record more Kent & Alan. I used to work with them at KMJK back in the 80's.
