Some of the sttations are having memorial day tributes, like KHITS palying sets of artists no longer with us.

I was thinking of a special set of songs to commemerate artists that also served their country.

Elvis, the king, a tanker in Germany.

Dino, Desie and Billie Dean Martin Jr, died when the RF4C he was flying, crashed into a california mountain.

SSG Barry Sadler, he died in South America.

Jan and Dean, Dean served in the Calif nat Guard.

Eugene's KKNX 840 am is airing a Memorial Day special, "The Soundtrack of the View Nam War," starting at 1 p.m.

From what I gather, the station owner, John Mielke (Mel-kay) produced this special, and it will feature radio airchecks.

KKNX streams at http://www.radio84.com/.

I hope to roll tape.
