Firing a Shock Jock for creating Shock with the listener's! Boy Howdy...if that aren't an OxyMoron I sure az heck don't know what are!

The Milwaukie talk show host was not a "shock jock". He worked for a very low rated AM Urban AC. He was part of a one hour talk show (along with one of Milwaukie's aldermen) from 8-9am called "Word Warriors", which followed "Gospel Gumbo" on the station.
But even for real "shock jocks", being hired to bring controversy or shock to a station still doesn't give you absolute freedom.
Every show has boundaries which exist in the mind of those doing the hiring and firing. The first priority of those pushing the boundaries is to make absolutely sure they know exactly where those boundaries are.
